On the first weekend in May of 2007 already the seventh „BiketheRock” took place in the „Cathedral of biking”, the so called Heubacher
mountain terrain near the Rosenstein. In addition to the „classical” disciplines Cross Country and trial there was a novelty downhill race for amateur
drivers seen. While the organizers had expected 30 participants there were more than 70 „downhiller” reported, of which 61 achieved the goal and came
to score. When planning for 2007 a new departure distance for the license and professional classes had been planned. The preparation already began in autumn 2006,
as the many curves, jumps etc. to a large extent became cut in manual work into the mountain. This new departure route was starting signal for the implementation
of the amateur downhill race. In view of the available time framework and the first implementation of the downhill race the new route applies as full success. |
