Hobby races – Exotic, hard, with a high fun factor

The amateur races in Heubach are a kind of reminiscence of the early years of the 25-year-old mountain bike history. Until well into the 90's cross-country races for amateurs without a license were big participants magnets. Now that many organisers had changed on Marathon sides the Bikethe Rock with its 1.1 km–loop is exotic – but it is very successfully exotic. It’s one for the bike enthusiasts who dare going to their limits and still have fun.

The BiketheRock started as a pure amateur event. The secret of success lies in the mix. For all the fighting spirit on the run way still the fun factor stands above. And everything happens in a confined space. A generational outdoor spectacle. Family, lively, wit. Cycling for each man, each woman, each child and for breathless pleasure. The short, tricky race pushes the lactate high – like a hard ride on a wild horse. There is a lot to talk about – afterwards. At earned sip from the beer or the apple spritzer.

The BiketheRock loves his hobby bikers and they love BiketheRock. Really hard. Also nice and hard. That is hobby in Heubach.

Your bike have to be technically all right.
Helmets are required for all races and only for Downhill you required protector.
The startpates must be fetched up 1.5 h before starting.
A participation to Downhill with persons under age (minimum age year 1996) it is only possible to start with the approval of the parents!

The award ceremonies are conducted as follows:

U9 - U15 at about 13.45
U17 - U19 at about 14.30

U30, Ü30, Ü40, Women and Teamrace at about 18.45

There's an own classification for girls/women at the hobby races if there are at least 5 racers registered per class before the 28th of April 2012.

The award ceremonie is conducted at about 18.45

There is a maximum limit of 80 riders. The best 30 riders will start in final.
All women started in qualification can start in final.
Drivers with license may participate in the race and get a time, but are not counted in the overall classification!

Due to the huge demand, the number of starters in the downhill was quickly increased to 100 in the men.
Still, the number of starters in the women's downhill is not limited.

For the downhill race, there is no shuttle service!
